Rocket building and iPod winning

It is not everyday that you get asked what you can do with a loo roll……

And it is not everyday that you get told that if you can reach into your inner crafty self and create a super sonic, sparkling rocket to soar through the skies away from the toilet bowl, then you stand a chance to win an iPod.

But gosh darn it, I was asked that and told that today….

So now I am telling you….

Because I know most of my readers have a super supply of toilet roll.  If your kids are like my kids, then the average loo roll survives about three hours covered in tissue, until it becomes a bare piece of cardboard.  Then it is ready to start its next adventure.

Get crafty with your roll

My kids love crafting with a loo roll.  Libby-Sue draws on them, and pushes her little wrist through and uses it as a watch, a time machine or even a laser gun.

She is quite excited that we are going to make a rocket out of one.

I am quite excited that is we make a decent rocket, we might win a iPod.

What am I on about?

Ok – here is the deal.  Rocket Bingo are hosting a competition where you have to make a Loo Roll Rocket to be in with a chance to win an iPod 7th Generation.   It doesn’t have to be super stunning, as this entry has proven so far….

(Even I can beat that – unless of course the roll propels the cat forward at a breath taking speed)

It could do with being on a par with this one….

I don’t think the dog is needed….  but he does add a degree of cuteness.

It does need to be done soon….

The competition closes at 23.59 on the 31st of August (see the site for full details).  But entry is easy, all you need to do is make the rocket (and make it good), show it off on Facebook, and read the small print for the full terms and conditions.

It couldn’t be simpler.  And as the cries of ‘I’m bored’ grow increasingly louder from the children, there can be no better time to give the little ones something to do and a chance to win an amazing prize!

Be great to see what ideas you have, or any help you can give me in designing my super rocket (we all know I am not known for craft!)

Good luck to those who enter!

Full details here on Rocket Bingo’s site, competition is not hosted by northernmum, the promoter is Rocket Bingo, this is a featured post on their behalf.
